Solduz wetland is located on the southern shore of Lake Urmia in Naqadeh county. This wetland has an area of 375 hectares and is located at an average altitude of 1277 meters above sea level. This wetland has been constructed in a generally flat coastal area, which was originally part of the coastal salt marshes of Lake Urmia. However, on the western side, the land is sloping towards the foothills and its height varies from 1280 to 1285. The main wetland is created in two shallow depressions on the shore of Lake Urmia. There is a low ridge in the northeast of the wetland to which the earthen dam of Solduz is connected. On the western side, the earth dam rests on the western slopes. Solduz Wetland is located at the end of drainage basin area of Gadarchay River and an important part of the outlet of drainage channel of Hasanlu Reservoir Dam supplies its water. The distance of Solduz Wetland is 80 km from the center of province and 25 km from Naqadeh city. It is located in the north of Grade Ghit – Mamyand road.
